At Sunrise we provide a holistic approach to supporting those with complex autism, including non-verbal autism.

We offer day sessions that may include a range of different interventions including sensory circuits, creative sessions, imaginative play and child-centred educational bursts that honour short attention spans and the need for frequent movement.

Movement helps to organise the brain and can provide much needed sensory input for those who are constantly sensory seeking. Our sensory circuits provide, alerting, organising and calming activities and can be bespoke to each learner based on sensory needs assessments from Occupational Therapists.

Creative sessions provide lots of stimulation. Paints, play dough, water play and sand. Using the hands keeps the brain alert and encourages our tactile system to tolerate different textures and temperatures.
